EE's Dyer faces long arm of the law

EastEnders star Danny Dyer is often taking the law into his own hands on the big screen, but his soap character is set to find himself on the wrong side of the law in Walford.
The 37-year-old actor's alter-ego Mick Carter will be arrested on suspicion of kerb crawling after he tries to track down blackmailer Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks) as a favour to his friend Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).
The pub landlord spots Ian and Rainie in a heated discussion after the swimming gala, and parks up behind them. But he finds himself in hot water when Ian speeds off as the police pull around the corner.
When Rainie, who was with Ian on the night his daughter Lucy (Hetti Bywater) was killed, refuses to confirm his innocence, and with Ian nowhere to be seen, the cops cuff Mick.
"Mick has no idea what he's getting into when he agrees to help Ian. We all know that Mick is one of the good guys and would never try to pick up a prostitute. He'll be praying that Linda trusts him enough to believe he's innocent," a show insider told Inside Soap.
"The big question is why Ian needs to find Rainie so badly," the source added. "He was trying to get rid of her the other week. Does he now need to account for his movements on the night of the murder to the police?"
Mick and Ian's unlikely friendship began after Ian helped him conquer his fear of water. In return, Ian confided in him about Rainie's attempts at extortion.
